Tips for managing visas

The main factor that a traveler has to take into account is the purpose of the trip, since in many occasions, to simplify a procedure, or to save some money, travelers often resort to apply for a different visa than the one they really need. In most of the occasions they opt for a tourist visa. If the authorities of the country are not very rigorous, it can serve to get out of the way and be able to obtain authorization to enter a certain country.

However, it is necessary to weigh the risks that this “trap” may entail, since, in the best of cases, the offender may simply be deported deported. Obviously, there are other types, such as study visas, family visits, diplomatic visas, humanitarian aid visas, missionary visas, depending on whether the accommodation is in hotels or in private homes, etc., each with its own requirements that may be totally different from one another.

That is why we must take into account the purpose of the trip and be rigorous when applying for the appropriate visa, whose cost is infinitely lower than the penalties that can be imposed or the damage that can cause (the traveler and his company) a deportation, the economic penalty or any of the other consequences that I mentioned above.

The person who travels also has to take into account the timeframes to complete and submit all the necessary requirements, as these can vary from the visa that can be processed on arrival, at the destination airport, or need several days (even weeks) to be granted.

It is more frequent than it seems that a traveler misses his flight (and the amount of his ticket) for not being able to have the documentation for the trip on time. Therefore, it is very important to know the exact deadlines and to have some time to be able to amend and remedy any setbacks in the processing.

Among the different requirements, we may find that it is necessary to have a few simple invitation letters from the person, company to be visited or the organization that organizes the trip, to a criminal record certificate or legalization and translation of corporate deeds.
