The study also shows that pricing patterns can vary depending on the destination, so the metasearch engine has analyzed when is the best time to book flights, as well as the cheapest month in which to visit the most popular foreign destinations among Spaniards.

For example, a Spanish traveler who wants to visit France, should book his flight 7 weeks in advance to get a saving of 19%, while if you want to fly to Italy, it is preferable to do so by booking 8 weeks in advance to save up to 16% on your tickets.

The cheapest tickets to United Kingdom are generally found 13 weeks before departure, which would imply savings of 16%. As for long-haul destinations, the best time to book a flight to Thailand would be an average of 28 weeks in advance (savings of 10%), and 29 for United States (savings of 9%).

Spanish travelers have demonstrated their wisdom when planning their trips, as the average number of days in advance with which they book is 56 days, which coincides with the best time to book according to Skyscanner.

The study also highlights the different behaviors that exist between the different Autonomous Communities. While the Vascans book more than two months in advance (63 days), in the Balearic Islands are limited to one month (33 days). The ranking of foresight is led by the Basques, followed by the Madrid (60 days) the most successful, after them the Catalans (53 days) and Valencians (54 days) with 7 weeks. They are followed by the Galicians (48 days), Andalusians (46 days) and Canarians (38 days).
