Travel Advisors Guild emphasizes technology in new phase with Julia Franch at the helm
The association of travel agencies specializing in corporate Travel Advisors Guild has elected Julia Franch as its new president at the assembly held at the ME Sitges Terramar hotel. Franch, who replaces José Miguel Gimeno after completing his two terms in office, will focus her management on the common technological project.
Gimeno, CEO of MT Global, highlighted in his speech that Travel Advisors Guild has met the objectives set in 2014, among them the modernization of the association, the new corporate identity, the improvement of negotiations with suppliers and the adaptation of the customer service department;

In addition, during this time TAG has made great progress in its project of technological convergence, a fundamental axis of a strategy that is now being taken up by the new president, Julia Franch, unanimously elected after presenting her work program under the slogan "Trust unites us".
Julia is clearly committed to continuing to consolidate the association's leadership. To this end, she raised the need to continue developing the specialized working groups; to integrate more agencies that share the same philosophy; and to work on a global TAG tool adapted to the business and that provides differentiation.
“Without a doubt, our technological project is our biggest challenge over the next few months, although I do not want to forget other milestones that we must address, such as gender equality, a principle that should inspire the rest of the fundamental rights”, commented Franch.
The visible head of TAG is also aware that the group's agencies are very sensitive to the sustainability of the planet. In fact, it has launched the EcoTAG program, with the aim of making its associates and society aware of the environmental situation and inviting them to take action.
To accompany the management of Julia Franch, the Board of Directors will be formed by José Miguel Gimeno (MTGlobal), as vice president; Pere Galmé s (Galben Travel & Business), treasurer; Esteban Domingo (Viajes Andrómeda), as secretary; and the following members: Leixuri Vilar (Viajes Amaia), Paula Fuster (Viajes Atlanta), Paloma Orjales (Viajes Orzan) and Octavi Viñes (Viajes Transglobal).
