Spanish luxury hotels strengthen their prestige for value for money

The Spanish hotel sector is once again showing its strength by ranking among the world's top hotels in terms of value for money. According to the latest Hotel Price Index of Hoteles.com, European capitals offered four-star accommodations for less than 150 euros during the first half of the year.

In the five-star category, for this amount you couldía choose between 6 destinations, compared to the 13 reflected in the report of the first half of 2014, as many prices went up. Among these cities were Delhi, Istanbul, Pisa, Tallinn and Warsaw. Cairo is one of the most far-flung places with 5-star accommodation available for ?150 per night or less on average during this period.

In the 4-star category, Europe offered 14 cities where travelers could stay for ?150 or less, including capitals such as Berlín, Brussels, Dublín, Lisbon, Moscú, Oslo, Prague, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna.

Dubái and Jerusalem were the two Middle Eastern destinations offering four-star accommodations for ?150 or less, while on the Asian continent, Jakarta, Shanghái and Taipéi have managed to position themselves in this category, as have Sídney and Melbourne on the Australian continent.

For its part, North America has managed to position the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas for the first time among the 35 destinations where guests have been able to stay for 150 euros or less in four-star hotels.

Apart from Las Vegas, none of the American cities included in the study offered four- and five-star hotel accommodations for 150 euros or less. And in the 3-star category, for this rate only appear Orlando, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Those who want to stay in hotels in the emblematic cities of New York, Boston or San Francisco for 150 euros, will only be able to access establishments in the 2-star category; in fact, these are the cities with the highest price.
