Sky Team airline alliance strengthens Forum Business Travel sponsorship team
The business travel management community Forum Business Travel has increased its list of sponsors with the addition of the Sky Team alliance of airlines. This agreement represents a definitive reinforcement of its value proposition in a segment of paramount importance for corporate travel.
Sky Team brings to Forum Business Travel the knowledge and experience of 20 airlines operating to more than a thousand destinations around the world. The alliance was founded in 2000 by the airlines Aeroméxico, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air. Since then, and despite major challenges in the industry, the number of partners has tripled, while the number of flights and connections has doubled.
The Sky Team's truly global alliance concept is what provides Forum Business Travel with the complementary vision for its training activities, in which nearly 1,000 travel managers have participated since its founding in 2010. The challenges of commercial aviation and its influence on the way companies travel will be the subject of greater attention from now on in the community, both in the face-to-face sessions, courses and workshops that it regularly organizes, as well as in its dissemination channels.
With the entry of the alliance, Forum Business Travel expands the value proposition of its training program that provides leading suppliers in their respective segments, such as Air Europa (air transport); Amadeus (technology); American Express Global Business Travel and Halcón Empresas (travel agencies); Meliá Hotels International, NH Hotel Group and HRS Global Hotel Solutions (accommodation); Diners Club International (payment methods); Enterprise Rent-a-Car (car rental) and mytaxi (cab management).
For Natalia Ros, founding partner of Forum Business Travel,
The entry of Sky Team substantially enriches the content that we will be able to provide to travel managers, adding at once the knowledge of 20 different companies with worldwide presence.
According to Rubén Lázaro, head of Key Accounts at Air Europa and representative in Spain for Sky Team, the alliance's entry into Forum Business Travel “it implies a direct relationship with Spanish travel managers, a contact that will help us better understand their needs and improve the service we can offer to business travelers.
