New association of agencies to promote quality in the MICE sector
In a context of consolidation of the MICE sector as a major industry, AEVEA (Agencias de Eventos Españolas Asociadas), a new professional platform that starts with 35 associates, has just been born with the aim of promoting its own regulation, as well as protecting its rights at legal, financial and creative levels.
The association aims to become a benchmark for suppliers and other agents in the meetings and events segment, to whom it will transmit their professional needs and put forward proposals for improvement. AEVEA will also work to promote agreements and collaborations with associations of event agencies in other countries and to create a forum where ideas and experiences can be exchanged.
Among the objectives on which the project is based are the quality, the innovation and the good professional practices . In fact, it aims to become “a public platform where you can denounce bad internal and external practices of event agencies and highlight the so-called intrusiveness that may occur in the sector”.
The event organization sector moves in Spain around 6.000 million euros, “ so this industry has the need to disseminate, implement and defend the best professional practices of the events sector among agencies, companies, institutions, training schools and all types of public or private organizations”.
The Board of Directors consists of Dario Regattieri (Eventisimo), as president; Mila Valcárcel (Método Helmer), vice-president; Luis Gandiaga (Sauver), secretary; and Ramón Alarcón (Below Group), treasurer; as well as the members Miriam Molero (Attentive), Ana Mora (Marbet Eventos), César González (EDT Eventos), Francisco Cantero (Neozink), Santiago Goizueta (Quum) and Jesús Huertas (Uila Eventos).
