Spanish employees very favorable to incorporating bleisure into their business travels

The combination of business and leisure travel, also known as bleisure, is gaining more and more weight in today's society as it facilitates work-life balance. In fact, more than 70% of Spaniards say they want to incorporate bleisure into their business travel, according to the latest report from Freenow for Business.

The study, "How to develop an effective business travel policy," also highlights the potential of gamification and sustainability in transforming travel programs.

Bleisure is of great interest, as it provides multiple benefits for both employees and companies. For employees, it improves morale, reduces stress and increases productivity by making them more rested and engaged. For companies, it translates into greater satisfaction and performance.

In addition, this practice becomes a differentiating element for attracting, retaining and loyalizing talent in a highly competitive labor market, as well as for strengthening customer relationships by promoting more informal and trusting interactions outside the traditional meeting environment.

To effectively integrate bleisure into travel programs, 50% of employees consider it highly relevant to have access to discounts and incentives, as well as to receive more information about the destination and activities (41%).

Also, it is crucial to promote it as a tool for wellness, to clearly establish guidelines regarding duration, expenses and work expectations during the business part of the trip and to favor open communication.

"Talent is an organization's greatest asset, so finding the right balance between work and personal time is essential to increasing employees' job satisfaction and sense of belonging,” says Francisco Díaz, Senior Sales Manager Business Travel at Freenow for Business.
