More than 50 speakers confirmed to preview the future of corporate travel and events at ISBTM 2024
ISBTM 2024, organized by Forum Business Travel & Events, doubles the number of experts participating compared to last year's event. Likewise, more than 350 people have registered to date to attend the two days of the congress, on July 3 and 4 at the Eurostars Madrid Tower hotel.
Under the slogan “Travel Kit for Business Travel”, the first will be opened by Héctor Coronel, Director of Tourism of the Madrid City Council, and begins with the debate What“
What“
We need to change in the travel model for business travel”; we have to change in the travel model”, moderated by Óscar García, co-founder of FBT&E, with the participation of Amaya Cabello, from Instituto de Empresa; Diego González, from IAG7; and Adriana Menéndez-Huerta, from DuPont.
Another highlight is the round table moderated by Marcel Forns, from Gebta, about “The value of a corporate travel agency”, where Juan José Legarreta, from Viajes El Corte Inglés; Alicia Fernández Tejerina, from Telefónica; and Anna Ribera, from Caixabank will take part.
BT Lab, the Forum Business Travel & Events think tank, will intervene twice during the morning to present projects entitled "The safety and well-being of the business traveler" and "Artificial Intelligence applied to business travel", which include an interactive dynamic with a chatbot created for the occasion by Indigitall.
The presentations will be given by their authors, the travel managers Cristina Badia (Abertis); David Ródenas (SEAT); Judit Navalón (Eurofragance); Anna Ribera (Caixabank); Marta Crespo; Alicia Sanz (Cemex); Carmen Sanz (Manpower Group); Juan Manuel Blanco (FCC); Lorena Iglesias (Sacyr); Marian Caturla (Prosegur); Yardena Aguilera (Iberdrola) and Raquel Gutiérrez (Amex GBT-Naturgy).
The block dedicated to aviation, under the theme “The evolution of airlines: NDC, Sustainability, Technology and Innovation”, will bring together Paloma Sanz de Andino, from Iberia; and Leticia Alcalá from Lufthansa Group; with Bernat Armadas, from Amadeus, as moderator. There will also be a talk by Néstor Guerra, from NCompany, on “The art of AI applied to the business world” and another by Silvia Magdaleno, from Squeeze Travel, on “The challenges of OBTs” tools.
The second day, Thursday 4 July, takes as its guiding thread the concept of “Flow & MICE” and will be opened by David Noack, director of Madrid Convention Bureau. The first block of the day is entitled “Meetings and incentives as a key loyalty tool”, and will feature the participation of Fran Lara, from Presstour; Nayra Montesinos, from Atresmedia; Susana Navarro, from Telefónica España; and Noel Granados, from Eurostars Hotels Company, as moderator.
For her part, Natalia Ros, co-founder of Forum Business Travel & Events, will lead a round table discussion on “ESG in events”, with Mariano Rodríguez, from Mediapro Events-AEVEA; Guillermo Turner, from iryo; and Roberta Cerrato, from King, as guests.
To talk about “The emotional impact of events” will be Amir López, from Meetmaps; Belén Salgueiro, from Viajabien-TAG; Chema Gómez, from Grupo Evento-AVASA, and Alejandro Trujillano, from BMotion, in a session led by Jonathan Ysaÿe, from Techformice.
There will also be a space for The International vision of the MICE segment” with the presence of Sebastián Seguí from Minor Hotels; Andrés Merino, from Global MICE Forums; and event planners from several European countries. The colophon will be the talk of Ángel Largo, on “Positive Attitude, the difference that makes the Difference”.
To all this content must be added the presentations and success stories of leading suppliers in the sector, such as Eurostars Hotels Company, BWH Hotels, Imbric, SAP Concur, Marquis Reforma Hotel & Spa or Lopesan MICE; and the destinations Barcelona Convention Bureau and Patronato de Turismo Málaga-Costa del Sol. In the afternoons of both days will also take place the so-called Exclusive Business Hub, in which suppliers and customers of travel and corporate events will hold mini-sessions to share information.
