Hybrid work continues to dominate the future of work

Hybrid work continues to dominate the future of work

The hybrid model is emerging as the preferred work style around the world, with 83% of employees saying they feel more productive in hybrid or remote environments than in physical offices and sites, according to a Zoom survey. The value of this model goes beyond the flexibility benefits, with more saying they have more connection with their teams and managers.

As organizations align their work styles to meet the needs of their business, customers and employees, hí work continues to stand out as the preferred approach: in fact, 64% of respondents say their workplace has currently adopted a hí model.

A large part of the conversation around flexible work styles has revolved around productivity, i.e., whether employees can be as productive working outside the office as they are in a designated work space.

In this regard, 84% of leaders said that increasing productivity is their top priority when determining the best work style for their company. Fortunately for companies, the study shows that employees feel more productive in a humid environment, at 83%.

This may be due to a variety of reasons, but it is evidence of the importance of having the right technology in place to keep the workforce connected, regardless of their physical location.

What may be surprising is that, while 72% of face-to-face respondents felt very or moderately connected with their manager, a still higher percentage in the hybrid group (82%) felt that they were very or moderately connected with their manager;bridled (82%) felt the same way, demonstrating that connectedness is not necessarily a function of face-to-face interaction and that relationships can be built and maintained in different work environments.

WORKPLACE EVOLUTION

• 82% of leaders plan to make their work styles more flexible in the next two years.

Líderes overwhelmingly report that, in the úls last two years, their work styles have become more flexible for employees. Fifty percent say they have become much more flexible and 45% say they have become slightly more flexible.
