Half of all Spanish employees will have to pay for their company's Christmas dinner

With the arrival of Christmas, company dinners have become one of the essential traditions to say goodbye to the year. But who bears the cost? According to data from a study carried out by TheFork, 52% of Spaniards say that they pay for the tableware and, of these, 75% will spend between 25 and 50&euro on average.

 

Despite this, 64% of Spaniards will attend their company's Christmas dinner. The reasons? 49% highlight that they do it to spend a fun time with their work colleagues, another 28% say it is a good opportunity to do networking, while 12% say it is a compromise, but they are forced to attend.

As for the format, 79% of respondents highlight that their company dinner is  in a restaurant and 21% confirm that theirs are in cóctel mode, with the aim of fostering working relationships among employees.

As far as the relational aspect is concerned, 78% of those surveyed say that they will meet with everyone at their company dinners this year and will take advantage of the opportunity to be with their colleagues;; although 19% say they will stay away from their bosses so as not to be near them and be able to enjoy the event to the fullest.
