Fitur presents its 2015 awards

The International Tourism Fair, Fitur, held on May 11 the awards ceremony for its last edition. For yet another year, Fitur aims to promote excellence and innovation in the sector.

 

 

In the category of countries, the winners Uzbekistán (National Company Uzbektourism), Tourism of Portugal and the National Tourism Office of Túnez, with special mention to the municipality of Elvas (Portugal).

In the section on institutions and autonomous communities, the awards went to Euskadi Turismo, the Principality of Asturias, and the Comunidad de Madrid- Ayuntamiento de Madrid, with special mentions for Turismo de Navarra and the Ayuntamiento de Cercedilla.

Finally, the companies distinguished with the award for Best Stand were Paradores de TurismoMeliá Hotels International and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, with special mention to Room Mate.

Once again, in collaboration with Aire Libre magazine, the Best Active Tourism Product Contest was held. In its twentieth edition, the products that stood out were: Baztán Aventura Park of Bidasoa Kultur Zerbitzuak (Navarra), in the category of National Adventure; Territorio Lobo Territorio Lobo de Interior Legendario (Zamora), in the category of National Nature; Trenes Turísticos 2014 de Junta de Galicia, in the section of National Culture; Vol espai gastronòmic: Gastronomía en Vol Vol Gastronomic, in the modality of Eno gastronomía Nacional.

In the international field, the following products were distinguished Yoga on the Rocks from Tourism Thailand, in the Adventure category; Indo Animalia, a journey to the wild legacy of Indonesia, from Catur Indonesia, in the Nature category; Nebrodi Albergo Diffuso: The authentic Sicilian experience, by Eurofiere, in the Culture category; Guanajuato Tequila Circuit, by the Secretaría de Turismo del Estado de Guanajuato, in the category of Eno gastronomía, and a special mention from the Jury for the product Turismo Sostenible y de Voluntariado, from Overtrails.

Finally, the sixteenth edition of the Tribuna FITUR- Jorge Vila Fradera award was held at Fitur 2015. The award, promoted by the fair in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism (AECIT), went to the Development and Application of a Model for the Design of Tourism Routes;o de rutas turísticas personalizadas”, signed by Beatriz Rodríguez Díaz, PhD from the University of Málaga and professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Málaga.
