First professional platform for booking and issuing tickets entirely online

Amadeus Spain has presented its new booking and ticketing platform Amadeus Selling Platform Connect. It is the only professional selling platform on the market completely available through web access and entirely located in the cloud, which requires no installation or software updates and only requires an Internet connection.

Amadeus Selling Platform Connect is also accessible from any device (desktop, laptop, mobile or tablet), ensuring that travel agents can serve their customers from anywhere and anytime they require their services.

The tool offers the possibility of customizing the agency's work procedures and easily integrating external content. It is an easy and intuitive solution, which allows agents to keep up to six work areas open simultaneously, and to work both in the Critical Mode  Critical Mode (using the classic transactions of the Amadeus system) and in graphic mode (more similar to the web design of any travel portal) or alternating at any time one or the other mode.

Amadeus Selling Platform Connect has been designed based on thousands of hours of research and with the collaboration of 184 travel agencies from 23 different countries. Amadeus has analyzed the day-to-day work processes that travel professionals follow, with the aim of making the tool fit their needs as closely as possible and improve their productivity.

In this sense, it is estimated that the new solution reduces administrative tasks by almost half, and allows a saving of up to 68% in the time spent, for example, on booking complementary airline services.

The new platform has been created at the Amadeus development center in Nice and has been supervised and adapted to the Spanish market by Amadeus professionals in Spain. Currently, Amadeus Selling Platform Connect is being implemented worldwide and 120,000 customers are already operating with this platform. The first country in which the new solution has gone live is South Korea.

In Spain, a programmed implementation plan for the new platform, sequenced in stages, has been set up, starting on The plan will begin next September and will culminate in 2017, when all Amadeus user agents in Spain, some 20,000, will have access to the new platform.

More than 80 people will be involved in the implementation of the new platform in Spain, including the entire customer service and sales team of Amadeus Spain.
