FBT strengthens its community of travel managers with more participation and strategic content
The annual meeting of sponsors of Forum Business Travel has ratified the evolution of this training platform of reference in Spain towards a community of travel managers in which participation, the exchange of experiences and contents of a strategic nature in the management of business travel will be promoted. The increase in the number of attendees supports this orientation.
The Forum Business Travel community is growing year after year. This is confirmed by the statistics presented on April 9 to the Sponsor Advisory Council, which met in Madrid. The attendance of travel managers continues to increase in Madrid and Barcelona and the number of partner companies of the training platform is already close to 800.
As explained by Óscar García, co-founding partner of FBT, “the contents of the platform will evolve towards more strategic aspects;s strategic aspects of Business Travel management, with the idea of also attracting the financial managers of the companies that receive the continuous training.Likewise, the conferences are taking a more participative course, in which the exchange of experiences and networking are serving to enrich the topics dealt with. The use of gamification and group dynamics are helping to generate collective intelligence and unique contents.
The activity of Forum Business Travel does not stop here, far from it. Natalia Ros, co-founding partner, informed the representatives of the sponsoring suppliers about the success achieved in 2017 by the Immersion Course, given in Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the Working Breakfasts, with specialized contents. In addition, FBT periodically prepares whitepapers and sectorial studies.
The novelty for the present course will be the holding of training sessions in Valencia and Bilbao, scheduled for the last quarter of the year. After a couple of years testing the market, Forum Business Travel will extend its activities beyond its usual venues. Another of the aspects on which the community is betting is "sustainability" in the events, Ros explained.
On the other hand, Forum Business Travel has closed the first full year with the new website, more visual, thanks to its adaptive design;It is more visual, thanks to its adaptive design, with better contents and integration of the accounts of Linkedin, Twitter and Youtube, in addition to the Blog. The result could not have been more satisfactory, according to those responsible for FBT, with an average of more than 3,000 unique visitors per month and an average of between 600 and 800 readings per news item. The website is completed, among other sections, with the Knowledge Hub, which organizes the main sectorial studies directly or indirectly related to Business Travel.
The next sessions will be held on April 19 in Barcelona and on April 26 in Madrid under the title "Business Travel";The art of aligning the traveler with the company's objectives”, where new models such as engagement or empowerment in travel management will be addressed. Dates have also been set for the annual conference dedicated to travel agencies. They will take place on May 30 (Barcelona) and June 6 (Madrid) and will be dedicated to trends in the different segments of corporate travel.
