European justice declares illegal restrictions on VTCs imposed in Barcelona

The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that limiting the number of licenses for private vehicles with driver (VTC) based on the number of licenses granted to cab services is contrary to EU law. The verdict calls into question many of the restrictions approved in recent years by the authorities of Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and Valencia.
