Club Business Travel by Avasa shares its success stories and sets the roadmap for the future
On November 24, the AC Diagonal L’Illa hotel in Barcelona hosted the last annual meeting of the Club Business Travel by Avasa (CBTA) with the presence of around 50 travel agency executives specialized in the meetings, corporate travel and incentive sector. After taking stock of 2022 and sharing the success stories of its members, they discussed the roadmap for the coming year.
Carlos López Bahillo, general manager of Avasa Travel Group, explained that the objective of the Business Travel Club, “four years later” is still to develop common strategies and implement new tools to improve the productivity of agencies working in this sector”.
The meeting had an eminently practical program and incorporated a new section of "success stories" in which some of the associated agencies were able to share their good practices with all the attendees.
The day began with a speech by the general manager of Avasa Travel Group. Then it was the turn of Óscar García, CEO of Mice in the cloud and Forum Business Travel with his presentation: “Evolve or die in Business travel. The keys to survival”.
Jaime Font, expert in digital transformation and collaborator of Avasa, disserted about "How to achieve higher revenues", focusing mainly on four aspects: More proactive travel agents; the power of information; company know-how; and analysis of the business travel survey conducted among the group's partner agencies.
Subsequently, representatives from Transvía Viajes and Atlántida Travel explained how they manage to increase their profitability and productivity thanks to the use of the tools and agreements that Avasa Travel Group makes available to all the agencies in the group.
Finally, Alberto Ponte, Consolidator & Consortia Manager of Amadeus España; Magda Briet, sales executive of Iryo; and Gerardo Gómez, sales director of Entreprise Holdings, explained their new products to the attendees.
