Alberto Mestre, director del área de Meetings & Events de American Express Global Business Travel
American Express Global Business Travel España has confirmed the appointment of Alberto Mestre as the new director of the Meetings & Events division in Spain. Mestre began his career at American Express in 1996, where he held various positions, most recently as Acting Director of the corporate events and congress division in Spain.
Since joining American Express in 1996, Mestre has held various positions, including Sales Manager Corporate Services (Commercial Card & Business Travel), Sales & Marketing Director for the Global Corporate Payments area and Commercial Director of the Corporate Travel division. More recently, since the beginning of 2014, Alberto has been leading the Corporate Events and Congresses area in Spain. Alberto Mestre has a degree in Tourism, a degree in Marketing and Commercial Management from ESIC Madrid and also holds an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
According to Luis Dupuy, general manager of American Express Global Business Travel España, “Alberto has a deep knowledge of the MICE sector in our countryñs. He has demonstrated a great capacity in team management, as well as solid support in event planning, creative and communication services to a portfolio of local, regional and multinational clients.
