Having Renfe content integrated into Amadeus E-Travel Management, the Amadeus self-booking tool, has been great news for all of us involved in corporate travel. The response has been very positive, both from the travel agencies that offer the tool, as well as for the companies themselves that use it.
Today, three months after the launch, all the travel agencies with which Amadeus Spain works have already implemented the solution and are in a position to offer it to their customers.
Since the end of January, the number of companies that have booked Renfe trains in Amadeus e-Travel Management has quadrupled, and the number of train tickets issued through the self-booking tool has also quadrupled.
Travelers are especially valuing the time saving and simplicity and clarity of the integration, and also the fact that the information is provided in a much more visual way.
Although it is still too early to confirm it, we believe that having Renfe in AeTM in an integrated way could double, according to our estimates, the adoption of self-booking tools in companies.
And we are still working! We have recently incorporated the functionality that allows you to see the corporate fares on the first screen of results, and we are developing the functionality that will soon allow the selection of seats and the sending of the boarding card to the mobile phone.
