Travel Advisors is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Rome with a new edition of its "Gathering of Friends" event
The Travel Advisors Guild (TAG) will hold the 27th edition of its traditional ?Gathering of Friends? in Rome from October 20 to 22. This year?s event will be particularly special, as it coincides with the association?s 30th anniversary and its three decades of working alongside independent travel agencies. The event will bring together 150 professionals from the tourism sector, including representatives from member agencies, company executives, and the trade press.
Under the title ?Incontro tra amici. Encuentro entre Amigos?, adapted into Italian as a tribute to the host city, the event will bring together nearly 150 participants. Among them will be owners and general managers of the agencies that are part of Travel Advisors, as well as senior executives from leading companies in the Spanish and international tourism sector and representatives of the trade press.
Rome will be the setting for a program designed to combine professional activities with exploring the destination. Over the course of three days, attendees will take part in excursions and tours of the Italian capital, as well as have opportunities to share experiences and strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed atmosphere.
Barceló Roma, the venue for the event
Participants will stay at the Barceló Roma, a recently renovated four-star hotel located seven kilometers from Rome?s historic center and the Vatican, near Via Aurelia and with easy access to Fiumicino Airport.
The hotel features meeting and event spaces, as well as dining options rooted in Italian culinary tradition, and will serve as one of the focal points of this edition.
An app to follow the program
As in previous events, Travel Advisors will provide participants with an app developed throughthe evenTwo platform, which is debuting a new design for this edition.
The tool will allow users to view the schedule of activities and maps showing the main locations, use instant messaging, and interact with an AI-powered chatbot created specifically for the event.
Travel Advisors will also share updates on the event through its profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook, using the hashtag #RomaTAG.
The event in Rome will also serve to commemorate the 30th anniversaryof the Travel Advisors Guild, an association focused on representing, defending, and promoting the interests of its member agencies and specializing particularly in the corporate travel, MICE, and custom vacation segments.
