Towards a smart tourism destination

Currently, we tend to confuse or relate the term smart with innovation and cutting-edge technology, almost bordering on spatial sophistication. In this sense, experts in the field define a Smart Tourism Destination (ITD) as one capable of integrating the most advanced technology within a territory to put it at the service of businesses and tourists who visit it.
