Renfe's offer, finally in the self-booking tool
Renfe's offer of seats has been integrated into Amadeus e-Travel Management, the Amadeus self-booking tool used in Spain by 443 companies to manage more than 500,000 trips. Corporate travelers will be able to make train reservations within the same application with which they manage their airline tickets or hotel and rental car reservations.
Thanks to this new feature, travel agencies will be able to offer their corporate clients the possibility for their travelers to manage their own trips, consulting and booking Renfe routes in an easy, fast, fashionable and efficient way, in the same way as they did until now with airline tickets or hotel and rental car reservations.
For companies, having Renfe's offer in Amadeus e-Travel Management responds to the need to manage their corporate rail travel more efficiently, integrated with their administrative and accounting procedures and, above all, in line with the travel policy defined by the company itself.
This is especially important in a context in which, according to estimates by companies using the Amadeus Spain self-booking tool, between 40% and 50% of business trips within Spain are made by train.
For Francisco Cañamero, director of Commercial and Marketing at Renfe Viajeros, the integration of the train offer in the Amadeus self-booking tool ““will meaná a greater approach to companies and their usual travel management procedures, which will facilitateá and enhanceá the purchase of business trips in which the train, a benchmark of national mobility, is used as a means of transport”.
For his part, Iñigo García-Aranda, marketing director of Amadeus Spain, highlights the importance of the incorporation of Renfe's offer, which will be a huge boost for the adoption of the self-booking tool in companies: “ the integration of Renfe content could double the adoption of the self-booking tool that travel agencies offer to companies, which will result in greater savings for these and in a much more efficient travel policy management.
