Amadeus has released update 18.1 of its eTravel Management self-booking tool. The new features enable companies to provide a more personalized service and a better experience for business travelers through more intuitive search options and more comprehensive flight and service information.

 

Amadeus e-Travel Management (AeTM) is a flexible online booking tool that enables corporations to have control over their business travel programs by integrating corporate travel policies, preferred suppliers and negotiated prices into one easy-to-use website. The platform allows employees to easily plan, book and purchase a complete travel itinerary that is automatically synchronized with the company's travel policy guidelines.

The version 18.1 of Amadeus e-Travel Management offers:

Smart Search: by using an integrated corporate intelligence logic, AeTM displays search results for full-service and low-cost airlines  that have been processed by a  single algorithm. It not only analyzes the lowest prices, but also takes into account other key deciding factors such as the traveler's personal search history and the overall comfort index. This makes it easier to find the most suitable airline recommendation for the customer.

Fare family names and descriptions: demonstrates greater transparency by specifying which services are included or excluded in the chosen fare. This helps travel managers and travelers identify the prices with the services they prefer and discard all those services that are not rated. It also facilitates better comparison between airline offers, which helps the corporation obtain the best price in the most efficient way possible. This information also allows airlines to offer differentiating features to their products and services, offering and extending the focus from price to customer experience.

 •Luggage Limit Indicator: highlights the baggage information for each fare during the purchase process. This allows travelers to take advantage of fares where only carry-on baggage is included if desired. Providing such information early in the search and purchase process helps travelers and shoppers find the right fare faster and make meaningful comparisons to make a more informed decision.

A new integrated partner: MyCab: Amadeus adds MyCab to the integrated partner framework as a service provider to offer integrated cab booking solutions, which is available in 143 destinations and 61 countries.
