Amadeus signs strategic agreement with SAP for corporate travel

Amadeus has announced a strategic technology agreement with industry pioneer SAP to bring to market a cloud-based corporate travel solution with the ability to book and manage expenses online and via mobile devices.

Amadeus will integrate SAP's Cloud for Travel and Expense solution into its Amadeus e-Travel Management tool, creating an innovative and unified user interface and a common workflow with a single end-to-end offering for distributors and direct customers in the corporate travel segment.

This is an alliance pioneer in the travel industry to bring to market a cloud-based corporate travel solution, with the ability to book and manage expenses online and via mobile devices.

The new offering, available to customers worldwide, will be marketed under the Amadeus brand and will be a comprehensive, on-demand solution from a single source for the travel industry.

After working with SAP for more than 15 years, Amadeus was looking for ways to enhance its services to its corporate customers, both directly and through reseller partners.

With the aim of offering a complete and fully integrated suite of solutions, Amadeus has chosen to increase the capacity of its cloud-based reservation management solution using SAP's Cloud for Travel and Expense tool.

This will enable Amadeus to offer a comprehensive service —from booking to expense reimbursement— which will result in improved user experience, reduced management costs and greater consistency in compliance throughout the entire process and itinerary.
