Amadeus launches new training platform for Spain
Amadeus has introduced Amadeus Learning Universe, the new training platform for schools and travel agents that will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and in 13 different languages. The service offers flexibility and customization so that students can take the courses as they wish.
Through this new platform, Amadeus users will have access to face-to-face, trainer-led virtual, e-learning and video training courses, which can be accessed with a single click wherever and whenever they want, and in a personalized way.
Amadeus Learning Universe offers the flexibility to learn on the go, from home, from the train or on a flight. In addition, it allows each person to follow the courses at their own pace as they can take the training whenever they wish.
This new platform includes learning paths (Learning paths), i.e. a series of training modules that take the learner from beginner level to more advanced knowledge on a single topic. These can consist of videos only, or have a blended approach.
In addition, a personalized learning dashboard has been incorporated to show an overview of the courses taken by the learner, their progress and the lessons pending to be taken. Students will get a certificate for each completed learning path and will be able to view, save and print their certificates in the learning history.
Travel agents who are new to the industry can access a course on the fundamentals of travel and tourism detailing common terms and language, as well as an introduction to the main elements that appear in everyday transactions.
Since March 12, Amadeus in Spain has delivered more than 120 hours of virtual training to more than 5,500 travel and tourism professionals. Due to the volume of changes and refunds that have occurred during these months, the most demanded courses have been: Amadeus Ticket Changer (ATC) voluntary and involuntary reissues, ATC refunds and ATC involuntary manual reissues.
Also, to help customers save time and provide more efficient support, it has updated Amadeus Service Hub with guides that answer travelers' top questions at this time, including information on refunds, changes and validations.
“Today more than ever, flexible training tailored to the needs of each professional is essential for each person to be trained in the best possible way. Training will be a fundamental pillar in the improvement of traveler service and, therefore, in the reconstruction of the travel industry," says Christian Boutin, general manager of Amadeus in Spain and Portugal.
