World Travel Market puts sustainability focus on regenerative tourism
The World Travel Market (WTM) will for the first time place regenerative tourism at the forefront of its Sustainability Summit, which will take place at Excel London on November 6. Overseen by the show's sustainability advisor, Tina O'Dwyer, a leading expert in sustainable tourism and driving impactful campaigns, the three-hour Summit will focus on how to use travel as a force for wellness.
Tina O'Dwyer, as moderator, will open the Summit by delving into the ways in which travel can be leveraged to support resilient communities, thriving economies and thriving ecosystems, while exploring the drivers of regenerative tourism.
Pioneer Anna Pollock will kick things off with a presentation on "Discovering the paradigm of regenerative tourism", in which she will make reference to success stories and practical strategies. Next, Elke Dens, founder of the global sustainable tourism organization The Travel Foundation and of Place Generation, will explore transformational tourism campaigns.
“From policy to practice: Ireland's experience with the creation of regenerative tourism spaces” analyzing in a practical way how to apply the principles of regenerative tourism to balance economic growth with restoration;
Orla Carroll, director of product development for Fá Ireland, will speak about how to apply the principles of regenerative tourism to balance economic growth with environmental and social restoration.

The Summit will close with a talk led by Tina O'Dwyer on “The Future of Regenerative Tourism on “The Future of Regenerative Tourism”, which will merge the learnings and practical conclusions of the day to inspire a model of tourism that revitalizes, nurtures and restores.
