Foro MICE and Envera Foundation join forces to promote inclusion and social sustainability in the events industry

Foro MICE, the platform that brings together the main associations and professionals in the meetings, congresses and events tourism sector in Spain, and the Envera Foundation, a non-profit organization with more than 48 years of experience in the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly promote social responsibility and social sustainability initiatives in the sector.

 

The agreement aims to promote the labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the field of events and congresses, in addition to promoting good sustainable practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

For his part, Luis Gandiaga, president of the MICE Forum, stressed that “the collaboration with Envera allows us to move towards a more human, inclusive and responsible model of events, aligned with the values of sustainability demanded by today's society and to which the federation is widely committed. In fact, we are finalizing the sector's sustainability plan”.

The agreement contemplates the implementation of joint training activities, the participation of Envera in events and professional forums, as well as advice to companies associated with the MICE Forum to integrate the social dimension of sustainability in their corporate strategies.

With this alliance, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to a more inclusive, supportive and sustainable MICE sector, where all people can take their place in the world with dignity.
